13 Days Of Halloween - 2020
Each and every year I have wanted to take part in a personal photography project around Halloween. Halloween has always been my favorite time year. From the vibrantly colored falling leaves, cold crisp mornings to the smell of wood burning stoves lingering in the air. I LOVE Halloween and everything about it! My love of Halloween has gladly accompanied me through my photography journey. I am always trying to give everything a creepy twist. I know I know, that doesn't work for everything. Surprisingly though, it works for more than you might think! Even with my great obsession of the holiday, I have always made excuses to put a photo project such as this on the back burner. Why? I was scared. Scared of not being able to successfully recreate the image I have in my minds eye. Scared it would just look like a heaping pile of photoshopped shit. I'm not saying it doesn't, but I am happy with it and that's what counts. ANYWAYS, this year I did it. I put the excuses aside and challenged myself. I challenged myself mentally, creatively and photoshop-illy. I learned so much by just diving in, messing it up, fixing it and trying new things. Now it's a must and I am already putting ideas together for next years 13 Days Of Halloween photo project.
